The Golden Age of Polyphony

The Renaissance is often called the golden age of polyphony which was by instance practised by the Flemish musicians like Johannes Ockeghem (c.1420-1495) and Josqiun de Prez (c.1440-1521). The polyphonic traditions reached their culmination in the works of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (c.1525-1594).
