Chopin. The poet of the Piano. Website

"Hello ! My name is Anh. My major is not music but the piano has come along with my life since I was six years old. My passion for music helped me keep playing during the busiest times. I have been collecting classical CDs for many years, including both piano and orchestral music, especially piano music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin,  and Rachmaninoff. My greatest Chopin collections are the Rubinstein Chopin Collection 11CDs (released in 1991) by RCA and the Complete Chopin Edition 17CDs (released in 1999) by Deutsche Grammophon. Besides, I am interested in comparing different versions of a masterpiece played by various pianists. I also like searching and reading articles about classical music." (Source: Website: Chopin. The Cambridge companion to Debussy

"Often considered the father of twentieth-century music, Debussy was a visionary whose influence is still felt. This Companion offers new insights into Debussy's character, his environment and his music, including challenging views of the roles of nature and eroticism in his life and music. While works in all genres are discussed, they are considered through the themes of sonority, rhythm, tonality and form, with closing chapters considering the performance and reception of his music in the first years of the new century." Szpilman’s Warsaw: The History behind The Pianist

"The movie The Pianist is set in Holocaust-era Warsaw and tells the remarkable story of Polish-Jewish musician Wladyslaw Szpilman. Hunger and hiding, resistance both spiritual and violent, conscious choices and sheer luck—all of these played a role in the unlikely survival of Szpilman and the fate of hundreds of thousands of other Jews under Nazi control in Warsaw. Collected here are some of the resources available on the Museum’s Web site about Wladyslaw Szpilman and the history of Warsaw during the Holocaust." (Source: Website's introduction).
